EBOO Therapy
Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation And Ozonation
EBOO stands for Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation. This is a groundbreaking therapy at the forefront of integrative, holistic medicine. EBOO harnesses the power of oxygen and ultraviolet light to optimize blood oxygenation and stimulate the body’s natural healing processes. To date, it is the most cutting-edge and effective delivery method of ozone therapy in the world. There are only a small number of clinics in the United States that offer EBOO therapy, but this number is growing as more and more people search for non-drug, root cause therapies in a world filled with too many medications. At Mojo Med, we are so excited to offer this powerful treatment option to our patients and are the leading provider of EBOO therapy in the state of Indiana.
Through this non-invasive procedure, oxygen-poor blood is removed from the body and introduced, under pressure, to ozone and oxygen using a dialysis filter as the vehicle to bring them together. Your ozonated blood returns to you after receiving full spectrum LED and UV light therapy, carrying this healing energy back to you. The combination of ozone, oxygen and light therapy starts a powerful cascade of healing events within your immune system, reducing inflammation, and improving circulation, immune modulation, and tissue regeneration.
EBOO is revolutionizing holistic medicine and empowering individuals on their path to optimal health.
Symptoms & Conditions Improved by EBOO
How Does EBOO Work?
EBOO initiates a brief oxidative stress response for 30 seconds to 30 minutes; this triggers a cascade of antioxidative effects within your body. EBOO is an immune modulator, meaning that it activates a weakened immune system while also being able to quiet an overactive immune response associated with autoimmune conditions.
Additionally, the ultraviolet light therapy component of EBOO serves to elicit similar immune system enhancements and functions as an antiviral agent. Pathogens such as viruses, bacteria, mold, and yeast cells absorb significantly more UV light compared to your body’s white and red blood cells. This exposure damages the pathogens, making them weak and vulnerable to be removed by your immune system.
EBOO also elevates your body’s nitric oxide levels, enhancing microcirculation to vital organs and the small vessels in areas like the eyes, brain, heart, kidneys, fingers, and feet. Improving microcirculation facilitates nutrient and oxygen delivery to the smallest areas of the body to support the healing of the vessels, tissues, and nerves.
“What’s with the foam??” There are various claims that the dialysis filter of an EBOO circuit is actually “filtering” out pathogens heavy metals, microplastics or even parasites. The truth is, dialysis uses a special fluid called dialysate that pulls electrolytes and cellular waste out of the bloodstream. With EBOO, the circuit is primed with heparinized saline; it does not have any osmotic pull to it like dialysis solutions. While there are some informal evaluations demonstrating things like uric acid and cellular waste products, there aren’t any validated studies that evaluate the contents of the foam in the collection cup. We do know that there is pressure from the top of the filter, pushing the ozone downward into the blood as it moves upward. What we have seen in our practice is lowering of bilirubin levels in cancer patients, white blood cell counts in patients with acute and chronic infections, lowering of inflammatory markers, and visibly improved circulation, energy and cognition. The power of EBOO lies in its circulatory and immune supporting properties and we are eager to learn more as the science progresses.
What To Expect
When you are receiving EBOO therapy at Mojo Med, you can expect your appointments to include:
-
Placing an IV
You will have an IV placed in each arm. Nutrient IVs are infused, then your blood will be withdrawn from one arm and returned to the other arm after it is treated.
-
Ozone Diffusion and Blood Interaction
The withdrawn blood is mixed with a precise concentration of ozone and oxygen gas in a closed system. Whereas an oxygen molecule (O2) is secure in a strong bond, the third molecule of oxygen in ozone (O3) is not tightly bonded to the others; this 3rd molecule of oxygen attaches to your red blood cells and is ready to leave that connection and is immediately absorbed into your cells (much more so than it would be as an O2 molecule), initiating healing processes at the cellular level right away.
-
Extracorporeal Circulation and Blood Reinfusion
“Extracorporeal” means outside of the body. The EBOO circuit removes your deoxygenated blood via the IV catheter and pumps it through a device, returning it to your body via the second IV catheter after it has been treated with ozone and full-spectrum UV and LED light therapy.
The highly oxygenated blood carries the potential therapeutic effects of ozone and light therapy back into your body.
-
Monitoring and Support
Our highly trained nurses will monitor you throughout the entire procedure. Your vital signs and blood sugar levels will be monitored before, during and after the procedure.
-
Potential Side Effects
While we manage and prevent side effects with our safety protocols, the most common side effect of EBOO therapy is nausea or lightheadedness caused by low blood sugar. With high oxygen levels in the blood, the glucose molecule often reaches more cells that need nutrition and this can cause a lowering of your glucose in the bloodstream.
We closely monitor you throughout the procedure and are ready to support your blood sugar levels at any moment.
Remember that preparation for your EBOO session is key; we ask that you eat a full meal including protein, fat and carbohydrates before your treatment. Our pre-EBOO nutrient IVs help to prevent this side effect as well.
Benefits of EBOO Therapy
Medical studies suggest that EBOO therapy may enhance oxygen delivery to tissues, stimulate antioxidant defenses, modulate immune responses, improve circulation, and promote detoxification processes within the body.
Enhanced Immune Function
EBOO can help you along your cancer journey by making your body an inhospitable environment for cancer cells and reducing the harmful effects of chemotherapy such as neuropathy.
Reduced Inflammation
Inflammation makes it harder for you to lose excess weight, EBOO can be a vital part of your total wellness plan.
Eliminate Pathogens
Ozone and full-spectrum LED and UV light therapy used in EBOO therapy have antimicrobial effects, helping your immune system eliminate pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, mold, and yeast from the bloodstream.
Bacteria, viruses, fungi, yeast, and protozoa absorb much more light into their cell membranes than your blood cells do. This weakens them, making them vulnerable to attack from your immune system.
Detoxification
EBOO therapy optimizes the body’s natural detoxification processes by improving blood flow to and function of your detox organs such as the kidneys, liver, and lymphatic system to support your body’s removal of wastes and toxins from the bloodstream.
Pain Relief
EBOO therapy may help reduce pain by decreasing inflammation, improving oxygenation and nutrient delivery to nerves, joints, and damaged tissues, promoting tissue healing.
Improved Overall Wellness
By addressing various aspects of health, including immune function, inflammation, oxygenation, and circulation, EBOO therapy can contribute to improved overall well-being, vitality, and help to reverse the most common factors that accelerate aging.
Neurological Support
EBOO therapy may also have neuroprotective effects, potentially benefiting those with neurological conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, or who have suffered a stroke. By improving microcirculation, EBOO optimizes the delivery of oxygen and nutrients through the smallest blood vessels in the body.

EBOO therapy should always be administered by qualified healthcare professionals experienced in its use, like the staff at Mojo Med.
