Ozone Therapy
Major Autohemotherapy With Ultraviolet Blood Irradiation
Major autohemotherapy (MAH) with ultraviolet blood irradiation (UBI) is a type of ozone therapy that involves withdrawing approximately 2-4 ounces of blood from a patient, adding ozone gas to the cells, then passing it through ultraviolet LED light at a specific rate for best absorption. The treated blood is then reinfused into the patient’s bloodstream. You’ll also hear us call it O3UV because it combines ozone (O3) and UV light therapy in one treatment.
Ozone is a highly reactive form of oxygen that can have a variety of therapeutic effects including antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, circulatory, and immunomodulatory properties.
Symptoms & Conditions Regularly Improved With Ozone Therapy
What To Expect
When you are receiving ozone therapy at Mojo Med, you can expect your appointments to include:
-
Placing an IV
You will have an IV placed in each arm. Your blood will be withdrawn from one arm and return to the other arm after it is treated.
-
Ozone Diffusion and Blood Interaction
The withdrawn blood is mixed with a precise concentration of ozone and oxygen gas in a closed system. Whereas an oxygen molecule (AKA O2) is secure in a strong bond, the third molecule of oxygen in ozone (O3) is not tightly bonded to the others.
This means that the 3rd molecule of oxygen is ready to leave that connection and is immediately absorbed into your cells much more so than it would be as an O2 molecule, initiating healing processes at the cellular level right away.
The highly oxygenated blood carries the potential therapeutic effects of ozone and light therapy back into your body.

Monitoring & Support
Our nursing staff will monitor you during your treatments and evaluate your vital signs before and after the procedure.
Benefits Of MAH Therapy/O3UV
Medical studies suggest that O3UV may enhance oxygen delivery to tissues, stimulate antioxidant defenses, modulate immune responses, improve circulation, and promote healing processes within the body.
Enhanced Immune Function
Ozone therapy activates and strengthens the immune system, helping to combat infections and diseases more effectively, by stimulating your immune system to work more effectively; ozone therapy is combined with UV and LED light therapy during an O3UV therapy session.
Bacteria, viruses, fungi, yeast, and protozoa absorb much more light into their cell membranes than your blood cells do. This weakens them, making them vulnerable to attack from your immune system.
Reduced Inflammation
By modulating the immune response, O3UV can reduce inflammation in the body, potentially alleviating symptoms associated with inflammatory conditions.
Eliminate Pathogens
Ozone and full-spectrum LED and UV light therapy used inO3UV has antimicrobial effects, helping your immune system eliminate pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, mold, and yeast from the bloodstream.
Detoxification
O3UV optimizes the body’s natural detoxification processes by improving blood flow to and function of your detox organs such as the kidneys, liver, and lymphatic system to support your body’s removal of wastes and toxins from the bloodstream.
Pain Relief
O3UV may help reduce pain by decreasing inflammation, improving oxygenation and nutrient delivery to nerves, joints, and damaged tissues, and promoting tissue healing.
Improved Overall Wellness
By addressing various aspects of health, including immune function, inflammation, oxygenation, and circulation, O3UV can contribute to improved overall well-being, vitality, and help to reverse the most common factors that accelerate aging.
Neurological Support
O3UV may also have neuroprotective effects, potentially benefiting those with neurological conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, or who have suffered a stroke. By improving circulation, MAH optimizes the delivery of oxygen and nutrients through the smallest blood vessels in the body.
O3UV should always be administered by qualified healthcare professionals experienced in its use, like the staff at Mojo Med.
